EdSPEAK! Documenting Stories in Education

Kidsjpg

I call it EdSpeak.  It will be a series of stories, ideas, and suggestions collected from educators / students from  all over the world.  I have started this series with the Parramatta Diocese Catholic Education Office (in New South Wales, Australia).  I have enjoyed their enthusiasm towards change (now) and I think they have the right people to make it happen.  They have a visionary leader (practical in my eyes).  His name is Greg Whitby and I believe he gets it.  Lets see and listen to the sights and sounds of the schools, the classrooms, the teachers, and the students. See below for movies.

Here are 9 movies I put together for you to watch, talk about, and even use to engage others in the very important dialogue of making a difference in schools-- in transforming them.  These are also quick ways of teaching simple and effective ways of using documentary storytelling skills to convey a message.

Using movies as a way to communicate new learning makes more sense than JUST writing about it.  This dialogue requires more options.  I like to use multimedia (movies, music, design, etc).  It reaches a greater audience, not just educators.
