Creating Markers in iMovie09

We finally figured it out!!! And it couldn't have been easier. 

Since iMovie09 came out we wanted the option of adding markers. So here's how you do it.....

 

DIY iPhone Tripod

If you've filmed movies on your iPhone you'll know how tricky it is to keep the shot steady. So we came up with our own DIY iPhone tripod. We used a type of a C-Clamp, mini tripod & our iPhone.

Here's the final image.

Lighting is everything in movie making. Can't afford an expensive light meter? Don't worry here's an inexpensive solution, your HAND!!

Locking your exposure when doing video with your D90

 

Here are the steps on how to set you AE-L. 

On your camera (hold): Menu > Custom Settings (Pencil Icon) > f (controls) >> Assign AE-L/AF-L Button > AE lock (hold) > OK

Now when your in LiveView on your D90 you can hit the AE-L to lock the exposure you are in. 

Syncing with iMovie 09

Here's a quick tip on how to sync your video and audio using iMovie 09. This is a great tip if you are in a  situation where the audio from your camera is poor. You can use an audio recorder (even your iphone) to get closer, better audio than the one off your camera and sync in post production.
